An engineering company for infrastructure development will be created in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Presidential Resolution “On measures to further improve the activities of the customer service in the construction of facilities in the field of preschool and general secondary education” was adopted (PP No. 65 of 02/08/2024).
According to the Resolution, an Infrastructure Development Engineering Company (Company) will be created under the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services.
The company will act as a customer for the construction, reconstruction and overhaul of preschool educational organizations, general education and specialized schools within the framework of the Program for the Development of Social and Industrial Infrastructure of Uzbekistan in 2024–2026.
It will be given the right to centrally purchase basic construction materials, equipment and structures (with the exception of furniture and equipment not related to the construction process).
In order to carry out regular quality control of objects, the company assigns at least one technical control employee for every five objects by territory.
The company is given the right to attract domestic and foreign managers and consultants (PMC - Project Management Consultancy) by selecting the best proposals without holding tenders or concluding direct contracts.
