In Uzbekistan, labeling of products will be mandatory

This resolution will come into force on June 1.

 In Uzbekistan, the new stage of labeling will affect medicines and medical products, water, soft drinks and household appliances.

According to the government decree, the dates of the beginning of the mandatory digital labeling of the following products have been determined:

* medicines and medical products-from June 1, 2021 to February 1, 2022;

* water and soft drinks-from June 15, 2021 to March 1, 2022;

* household appliances ― from July 1 to December 1, 2021.

Manufacturers and importers will be required to label goods subject to mandatory digital labeling, which is the responsibility of manufacturers and importers.

Enterprises engaged in retail or wholesale trade in goods subject to mandatory digital labeling are required to connect to the national information system for monitoring the labeling and tracking of products "Asl belgisi".

In addition, the list of economic entities participating in the pilot project that must be equipped with the necessary equipment for the introduction of digital labeling has been approved: among them are such companies as Coca-Cola, Foton, Texnopark, Sino, Artel, Roison, Hydrolife, Nobel Pharm, Jurabek Laboratories, Family Group and others.

It is noted that the necessary equipment is installed by the economic entities at their own expense.
