Projects worth US$6.1 billion are planned in Jizzakh

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over the past five years, investments worth over US$4 billion have been attracted to Jizzakh region. The volume of industrial production amounted to 50 trillion soums, and exports worth US$861 million were carried out.

This year, 400 projects worth US$2 billion are being implemented in the region. As a result, 11 thousand new jobs will be created.

New plans were presented to the head of state. Foreign investors and local entrepreneurs have declared their readiness to implement 50 projects worth US$6.1 billion.

Projects cover such in-demand industries as mining, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry, textile and food industries, agriculture, medicine and pharmaceuticals. It is important that as a result of these projects, almost 20 thousand new jobs will be created.

The President wished investors success in implementing their projects. Responsible persons have been instructed to take the implementation of projects under special control.
