Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz . Uzbekistan has signed agreements for the construction of two solar power plants, as well as an object that will generate electricity from landfill gas, the correspondent reports Podrobno.uz.

The national electric networks of Uzbekistan and the Chinese Energy China Overseas Investment Division China Gezhouba Group signed agreements on the eve of the construction of solar power plants with a capacity of 500 MW each in Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions.

These two large-scale projects, allowing an additional 2.3 billion kWh of electricity to be produced, will reduce the consumption of natural gas by 588 million cubic meters per year. As a result, it will be possible to save fuel resources and reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

In addition, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Uzbekistan and the South Korean company Sejin G&E so., LTD signed an agreement for $ 55 million.

This document is aimed at the implementation of an investment project for the production of electricity through the processing of waste gas generated at landfills of household waste.
