Uzbekistan and Russia plan to build a gas chemical complex in the Bukhara region

Uzbekistan and Russia intend to build a gas chemical complex in the Bukhara region, reports the press service of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

On February 19, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed issues of bilateral cooperation with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov. In 2023, trade turnover increased by 6.6%, and joint projects are being implemented in the fields of industry, energy, transport, metallurgy, chemistry and pharmaceuticals, it was noted at the negotiations.

At the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khojaev, the implementation of large infrastructure projects was discussed, including the creation of a metallurgical cluster based on the Tebinbulak deposit and a copper processing plant at the facilities of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine.
