Uzbekistan to Supply Construction Materials to the U.S. Worth $210 Million

The first-ever «U.S. – Uzbekistan» business forum in the field of construction materials took place in the United States, where major Uzbek companies presented over 50 types of high value-added products.

The event, organized in collaboration with Uzsanoatkurilishbank, the Chamber of Commerce, the «Uzstroymaterialy» Association, and the Embassy of Uzbekistan, was attended by large Uzbek manufacturers such as Basalt Uzbekistan, Alcopon Standart Trade, Sanfa Engineering, Benkam, Akfa Extrusions, First Global Stone, and others, as well as leading representatives from construction companies, developers, distributors, and retailers from the U.S. This was reported by the news agency «Dunyo».

At the event, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the U.S., Furkat Sidikov, emphasized that the construction industry is one of the most promising sectors for deepening cooperation. According to him, Uzbekistan’s exports to the U.S. increased by 170%, surpassing $260 million.

The forum presented more than 50 types of high value-added construction materials, including aluminum profiles, basalt products, sanitary goods, thermal insulation materials, porcelain tiles, and others. It was noted that the products generated significant interest from American companies, which served as a stimulus for further discussions on cooperation opportunities.

As part of the business forum, B2B meetings were held, where entrepreneurs from both countries held direct negotiations and discussed the prospects of creating joint ventures and implementing investment projects in the Republic.

As a result of the event, export contracts worth $210 million were signed, and agreements were made to jointly implement an investment project for the extraction of kaolin and the production of products from it.
