In 2025, Uzbekistan plans to produce construction materials worth 50 trillion soums.
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — As part of the approved programs for 2025–2026, Uzbekistan plans to implement 346 projects worth a total of $3.6 billion, which will create about 19,400 new jobs in various regions of the country. This was reported by the Uzpromstroymaterialy Association.
From January to April 2025, construction industry enterprises produced goods worth 12.1 trillion soums, which is 108% of the planned volume and 11.8% higher than the same period last year.
In particular, 5.3 million tons of cement were produced — 10% more compared to last year; 18.5 million square meters of construction glass — 20% higher; 15.4 million square meters of ceramic tiles — an increase of 14.1%; 24 million square meters of drywall — 4.3% more; 265,000 units of ceramic sanitary ware — an increase of 1.2 times; and 1,800 tons of wallpaper, which is 101.1% compared to last year.
The high growth rates in the industry were primarily achieved through the commissioning of new production capacities last year and the efficient use of existing ones.
The expansion of the export geography and the range of products made it possible to export goods worth $244 million in the first months of this year, which is 12% higher than last year. During the same period, investments totaling $502 million were utilized, of which $385 million were direct foreign investments and loans.
As part of the localization program, products worth 900 billion soums were manufactured. Special attention is being paid to the development of import-substituting materials, such as glazed porcelain tiles, basalt mineral wool, aerated concrete blocks, wallpaper, decorative construction glass, and other types of building materials.
For 2025, the production of goods worth 50 trillion soums is planned, with a 15% increase compared to the previous year. In addition, exports are expected to increase 1.4 times, reaching $1.2 billion.
Within the localization program, the production of construction materials worth 4.4 trillion soums is planned.
Investments in the industry this year are expected to reach $2.4 billion, of which $1.6 billion will be direct foreign investments and loans.
