Tashkent is experiencing a construction boom: Goskomstat published statistics in the construction industry

According to the State Statistics Committee, in the first half of 2019, the construction organizations of the city of Tashkent carried out 21.8% of the total construction work in the republic, the cost of which is 7,494.4 billion soums.

The information indicates that such a large-scale construction is explained by the fact that the largest construction companies of the country are located in the city of Tashkent, and there are also many small construction organizations and microfirms.

Along with this, large-scale construction work is being carried out in this region, including the construction of subway lines, the Tashkent-City international business center, residential buildings under government programs, and other buildings and structures for sale, which has served to a significant increase in construction work.

The report names the largest construction sites in Tashkent. These include the construction of a bridge and the Yunusabad metro lines, the construction of a ring railway for the electric train, as well as fences for the Angren-Pap railway line, the construction of the Sergeli line of the Tashkent subway, an overpass at the intersection of Makhtumkuli and Akhangaran highways, and the construction of ground loop line. The construction of “Tashkent - city” and “Almazar - city”, residential complex “Yangi Almazar” in the territory of the former Tashkent porcelain factory and residential building “Oloy” is referred to the major objects. The modern civil airport complex on the basis of the Tashkent-Vostochny airfield, the Navruz park, the International Islamic Cultural Center, and the reconstruction of buildings and structures of Uzbekfilm are also named.

The information noted that the volume of construction work in January-June of the current year amounted to 34,351.2 billion soums. Growth rates over the corresponding period last year reached 120%.
